Program goal: To provide funds for private instrumental music lessons for children in Sedona. Awards are based on student enthusiasm, parent commitment, family financial need and ability.
Interview-Auditions will be held Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Sedona Red Rock High School.

This program, named The Weldon Bright Memorial Scholarship Program, was established in 1996 in memory of Weldon Bright, a fine jazz pianist and educator. He felt that the best way to preserve jazz was to encourage young people to learn about music.

Students preparing to audition - If you are interested in getting a scholarship for private music lessons for your child, please contact Sedona Jazz on the Rocks for more information. We promote music education for kids.

~  Sedona student, Sedona resident
~  Age 6 through 14
~  Minimum 1 yr private lessons - Exception (see Guidelines)
